🅾️Context : Rajive Raturi v. Union of India (2024): SC held that digital access is a constitutional imperative for PwDs.
🅾️ Impairment ≠ Disability → Disability = Society’s inability to provide inclusive infrastructure. PwDs are denied financial identity, and thus denied welfare, mobility, and autonomy.
🅾️Digital barriers = rights violations- Directed reworking of digital KYC to include text-to-speech, self-verification assist tools, screen-readers.
